Eligibility
Open to natural persons who are: (a) legal residents of the United States; (b) 18 years of age and older; (c) owners of their own home, which is in a suitable condition (as determined by Long Home or its designees) for installation of the prize (including, for example, no water, mold, or structural damage, and compliant with local building codes and regulations); and (d) residents in a geographic area in which Long Home is permitted to install the prize at the winner's location. Void outside MD, DC, VA, WV, PA, FL, MA, ME, NH, and CT and where prohibited by law.
Employees, officers, and directors of Long Home, and members of their immediate family (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and life partners of each, regardless of where they live) and members of the households (whether related or not) of such individuals are not eligible to participate or win any prize. All potential winners are subject to verification. Sponsor reserves the sole right and final authority to determine eligibility. The address listed on the entry must be the address where the grand prize is to be installed.
How to enter
During the prize period, either: (a) complete the Home Makeover Giveaway entry on this page (ZIP, homeowner confirmation, project interest, name, and contact, with required consents); or (b) send a mail-in entry to Long Home, 8530 Corridor Road, Savage, MD 20763, postmarked by 06/30/2026. Mail-in entries have the same deadline and an equal chance of winning as online entries. No more than one entry per household is permitted. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar entry method, or entering more than the number of times permitted, will void all entries and result in disqualification. By entering, the entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters.
Prize
The grand prize winner will receive their selection of Long Home's custom bathroom remodel or roofing installed, with a total maximum retail value of eighteen thousand five hundred dollars ($18,500), as determined by Long Home based on its then-current price list. The maximum retail value includes cost of installation. The grand prize must be installed at the address listed on the winning entry form. The winner must arrange for prize installation no later than one month following the award. Installation must be provided by Long Home's personnel or designee. All expenses not specifically provided for are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any waterproofing, remediation, or other repairs necessary for proper installation (as deemed by Long Home or its designees in their sole discretion) must be performed at the winner's expense prior to installation. Installation labor does not include painting or staining. Acceptance of the prize will require entering a standard contract or purchase order for goods and services, which will not create any additional purchase obligation beyond necessary repairs for installation. No substitution or transfer of the prize is permitted by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion.
Drawing, odds, and notification
Sponsor will conduct a random drawing on or about July 2026 to select the winner from among all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be contacted by phone and additionally sent written prize notification correspondence. The potential winner must comply with all instructions in the prize notification, including completion of an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, and return them to Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the date on the prize notification, and must meet all eligibility requirements. If the potential winner fails to respond within the applicable time period or is otherwise deemed ineligible, the prize will be forfeited.
Taxes
The prize is subject to the express requirement that the potential winner submit to Sponsor all documentation requested to permit compliance with applicable state, federal, and local tax reporting. To the extent permitted by law, all taxes imposed on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. If a potential winner fails to provide such documentation or comply with such laws, the prize may be forfeited and Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner.
Limitation of liability
Upon installation of the grand prize, Long Home will be deemed to have awarded the grand prize to the winner, with the winner assuming full ownership and responsibility for the grand prize. By entering, entrants waive all right to, and hold the Sponsor harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
Sponsor will not be responsible for late, incomplete, or incorrect entries; an entrant's failure to receive prize notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for incorrect or non-functioning contact information; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions; lost or unavailable network connections; or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications. If, in the Sponsor's opinion, there is such an error, suspected tampering, or technical difficulties that compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify this Sweepstakes in any manner without notice. In the event of termination, winners will be selected from among all qualified entries received as of the date of termination. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the winning home is titled.
Jurisdiction
All matters arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of Maryland, without giving effect to conflict-of-laws provisions. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the applicable federal or state courts located in Howard County, Maryland. Disputes shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering, but in no event attorneys' fees.
Privacy and publicity
Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy on this page and Long Home's privacy policy. To stop the mailing of future sweepstakes-related materials from Long Home, email contactus@longhome.com or send a written request to Long Home, 8530 Corridor Road, Suite 200, Savage, MD 20763. Acceptance of a prize also constitutes permission to the Sponsor to use the winner's name, likeness (including in pictures and video), and biographical information for advertising, promotional, or publicity purposes without further compensation or additional right of approval, except where prohibited by law.
